What you get: 

  • 6 Ounces Dried Tart Cherries
  • 6 Cups Sliced Peeled and cored local Hudson Valley Apples
  • 1 Cup Organic Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Stick of Sweet Butter

What you need: 

  • Cinnamon
  • 200 mL Calvados or Apple Brandy
  • Sea Salt
  • Raw Cane Sugar or Coconut Sugar
  • Organic Whipped Heavy Cream (optional)

Apples are at their best in Autumn when the local orchards of my home region in the Hudson Valley produce a substantial crop of many delicious varieties. We recommend using Jonagold, Golden Delicious, Jazz, Pink Lady, Honeycrisp, Gingergold, or any mix of your favorites! Here they are joined by wonderful tart cherries soaked in calvados (apple brandy)- a nice twist on an old standby!
